The Perfect Blend of “Easy to Hit” and “Crushed It”!
Designed specifically for hybrid heads - not simply a longer iron shaft. A very low balance point easily gets the ball airborne without excessive spin for longer shots into the green. Ideal for golfers with medium to slower tempos/transitions and swing speeds even up to 105mph with a driver.

Launch it High and Long
Some companies take shafts designed for iron heads and simply make them longer to accommodate hybrid club lengths. We don’t do that. Instead we tailored the new 76-80 g Xcaliber RT Hybrid Golf Shafts to optimize launch angle and spin specifically for hybrid heads which deserve the same attention that iron heads receive in design and testing.
To optimize ball flight we implemented two critical design features: The lowest balance point in the industry to help you get the ball airborne; A medium/stiff lower section that keeps spin at an optimum rate — unlike other hybrid shaft designs that produce too much spin.
To maintain and verify the consistency of every shaft, we’ve implemented an industry-first testing protocol—100% frequency inspections at 0 and 90 degrees of both the butt and lower sections of the irons. Not just a single-point butt frequency inspection as with other shaft companies.
The RT Hybrid Golf Shaft fits a wide range of golfers, from slower-swinging seniors to lower-handicap players with swing speeds up to 100+ mph. The shafts work best with players whose swing profiles are smooth to medium in tempo and transition.
If you have a slow swing, expect a medium to high launch. For faster swings, you’ll see a medium to medium-low ball flight. Either way, you’ll get optimum ball trajectory without excessive spin.
Standard Trim Instructions:
- Tip 0 in. for H15? - 0 in.
- H18? - 0.5 in.
- H21? - 1 in.
- H24? - 1.5 in.
- H27? - 2 in.
Experienced Club Makers:
- With a 5 in. parallel, trimming options are limitless for any head
- Maximum for any head is 3.5 in., providing the bore depth does not exceed 1.5 in.
Note: Trimming instructions are not set in stone (as many companies will maintain). Rather they are a basic guide for assembly.
Experimentation is definitely allowed and even encouraged once one has experience with the performance of any Xcaliber shaft.
